Cognition and behavioral management session learning outcomes (LO):
LO 1: Understanding the theoretical foundations for cognition and behavior
LO 2: Exploring the physiotherapists approach to cognition and behavior management
LO 3: Sharing practical application tips for the management of people with cognitive and behavioral management needs
The first presentation will cover a description of multi-faceted interdisciplinary approaches for management of patients in a confusional state. A model for understanding these approaches is presented along with a few clinical examples. The presentation will be based on the publication: “Confused about Rehabilitation? Multi-Faceted Approaches for Brain Injured Patients in a Confusional State”.
Hereafter a presentation of physiotherapy approaches when confusion is the main focus in neurorehabilitation. Case experiences will be presented to describe both theory and practice used in Danish neurorehabilitation center.
Finally, a summary for the attendees – and questions/ discussion.
